Universal Transport and Allied Workers Union (UTAWU)
UTAWU is the union for the 21st century, meeting the greatest challenges facing working people today. It is a democratic and campaigning union, which fights back for employees in the workplace, protects workers’ rights and takes trade unionism out to millions of unorganized workers.
It is a union that stands up for equality and advances members’ interests on a political and national level. Building ever stronger links with trade unions in the country to confront the challenges of our national economy.
Our Mission
To be a fully complaint registered Trade Union with an open scope that caters for all sectors and industries to accommodate all types of workers.
To be the preferred Industry and Sector Trade Union in the Republic of South Africa and abroad through renewal and expeditious processes, innovation with specific focus on Labour Legislation.
